November 2005 to September 2006 independent producer working amongst other things for the Gruppe 5 Filmproduction three-part Super-Doc „Update 2057 – The world in 50 years” for ZDF/ ZDF-Enterprises/ Arte / ORF and Discovery US.

From 1998 to 2004 CEO of COLONIA MEDIA along with Georg Feil, supervised productions like “TATORT” and “SCHIMANSKI” and television plays such as “DUNKLE TAGE” (Goldene Kamera) by Margarete von Trotta or “MEIN VATER/ COMING HOME” (International Emmy Award), Lars Becker, Torsten C. Fischer, Mark Schlichter, Andreas Kleinert; Dominik Graf (“KALTER FRÜHLING”), Sabine Derflinger („KLEINE SCHWESTER“), Documentations by Bernd Mosblech and Lutz Hachmeister, as well as feature film productions by Sylbiye Günar („KARAMUK“), Andreas Gruber („WELCOME HOME“, in Co-Production with Wega Film, Vienna) and Matthias Glasner („DER FREIE WILLE“, in Co-Production with Schwarzweiss Film, Berlin).

As from 1997 Head of Production for COLONIA MEDIA.

1990 -1995 he operated as Head of Productions at GEMINI-FILM and COLON-FILM and supervised numerous international television plays and feature film productions in co-production with Italy, France, United States, Spain, Netherlands, Austria, Ireland, England and Poland, e.g. “PIZZA COLONIA” (1990, Klaus Emmerich, Bundesfilmpreis for film, script & leading actor), „TERROR STALKS THE CLASS REUNION“ (Cinema, 1991, Clive Donner), „MURDEROUS DECISIONS“ (1991, Oliver Hirschbiegel, 2-Channel-Project for ARD & ZDF), „POLSKI CRASH“ (Cinema, 1993, Kaspar Heidelbach), „THE WHIPPING BOY“ (Cinema, 1994, Syd Macartney, CABLE-ACE-AWARD 95), “MY FRIEND JOE” (Cinema, Executive Producer, 1995, Chris Bould, BLAUER BÄR for the best children’s movie BERLINALE 96)

From 1987 to 1989 Head of Production at GERHARD SCHMIDT SCRIPTS & FILMS PRODUKTION

From 1983 to 1987 he has worked freelance as UPM in Cologne including collaborations with the companies TAG/TRAUM, FILM- + TV-PRODUCTION and GEISSENDOERFER FILM- + TV-PRODUCTION.

1978 formation of the company DR MUSCHNIK FILM & THEATER PRODUCTION based in Essen. Three feature film productions were produced until 1982: „MY HEART IS OVERCOME WITH TERROR“ (1979, Co-Director + Producer), „FÜNF FLASCHEN FÜR ANGELIKA“ (1980, Co-Director + Producer) und „STROMMBERG - DIE LETZTE NACHT“ (1981, Producer).

Frank Döhmann, born in Bochum, Germany, 1956, attended after his A-Levels Cologne University to study medical science.
